Drawing Lessons from Advanced Machinery: Qianyang Orchard Service Team Explores Pathways for Apple Orchard Mechanisation in Zoomye

A delegation of agricultural service organisations from Qianyang County, Shaanxi Province—the renowned "Hometown of Chinese Apples"—recently completed a benchmarking study tour to Weihai. Bringing practical challenges from their local hilly orchards, the grassroots technical team toured the company's production workshop, product experience centre and demonstration site.
With a focus on full-chain apple cultivation needs, the delegation inspected a comprehensive range of equipment, including self-propelled orchard work platforms, variable-rate precision fertiliser spreaders, multi-purpose harvesting platforms, orchard back-mounted forklifts and orchard chassis-lifting fruit bin trailers. They put the machinery to the test—evaluating climbing ability, obstacle clearance, aerial working performance and manoeuvrability—and held substantive discussions with the technical team on machine selection solutions suited to orchards with varying tree ages and slope gradients.
The delegation spoke highly of the company's end-to-end product portfolio, covering soil preparation, planting, orchard management, harvesting and logistics. Both sides exchanged views on how service organisations can drive agricultural mechanisation and enable small-scale family farms to access modern agricultural technologies.
This visit marks a solid step forward in deepening inter-regional cooperation and accelerating the mechanisation transformation of apple-producing areas in Northwest China.
